Lol! Where I am from that is what I remember too. Lots of free puppies and kittens...not designer dogs, mutts. Cute mutts. But mutts none the less.
Put a link to an article about Merle coloring since it was mentioned, I have read about it before and thought the auditory/vision issues that show up with Merle breedings were actually fascinating. I haven't heard of 'Merle yorkies' yet and I hope I don't. I really appreciate that we have a breed with traits I can for the most part depend on. I am grateful for our breed and I hope to keep its integrity and improve on its faults.
