More about leash free parks What is the expression live n learn........sigh. I swore I would never bring my wee one and my. Biggie together on my own to a leash free. Well the other day I did it. I scanned the whole park it was empty at that time of day on a holiday monday. So we proceed. We have about 10 minutes of joyous time running n retrieving the ball. Blissfull. Then I see at the farthest gate two men enter with a bully breed. I have only time to leash up my wee one razz and short tie him into the picnic table. The young bully goes full tilt run to magic and attacks. My close to 11yr old boy turns to meet the attack. Luckily the bully owners went at a dead run and my magic did obey me and dropped the neck of that bully. We got a hold of their collars and circled them away from each other.
In one sense the owners were clueless but in another they knew they were in the wrong. As we always seem to hear oh my boy has never done this before! Prob BS. I know bully breeds need to be muzzled all the time out in public.
T hey also had no idea magic was going in for the kill. Magic is one very serious boy and will never ignore that full out attack. I educated them a bit. They put the leash on their dog and immediately exited.
Learning nothing I am sure.
I should never do this again.
