I agree...and this is also what my ortho surgeon suggested when I asked...steps or ramps....ramps cause less impact on joints than upstairs. It's funny cause all you see are stairs in catalogs , not many short ramps around. So all the carpeted stairs hubby made got turned into ramps....which need to extende out a ways to accommodate incline.....but far easier on their knees.
