Default Yorkie Hypoglycemia

How severe is hypoglycemia in Yorkies? I had finally decided to become a Yorkie owner, but then found out about the natural hypoglycemic tendies of Yorkie puppies--and the importance of rapid response to it. If I were to get a Yorkie, I would be away from it from more than twelve hours with no others nearby. Although this can't be called a rare occurrence, it isn't a common one either. Is this a problem for a hypoglycemic Yorkie (from my research, the answer to that is yes, but I would still like the input of actual Yorkie owners)? What is the best way to help a hypoglycemic Yorkie? Are twelve-hour absences manageable for a hypoglycemic Yorkie?
