They gave us this tiny syringe, 3 of them, one for each day, preloaded with a pain gel. Ezzy only used two... the second day was just because she occasionally made these jerking motions as if something was biting her, near the sutures. By day 3 she was so much back to normal tail wagging and pouncing on her brothers, there was no need. She never got used to the cone of shame... It did keep her from jumping on or off the furniture... so, if we EVER do this with another pup, I hope to remember to keep the cone of shame on around the clock if for nothing else than to encourage them to not jump for the first few days.... That's just a guess.
