This is very useful & needs to go into the YT Library. So many people forget about the pet when a loved one passes away as they are so caught up in their own grief that they just don't realize the pet is suffering just as much. My cousin was one of those people & when my Uncle passed away a few yrs back poor Angel was lost & confused. I suggested that she let me take Angel home with me for a few days & she agreed. I think it was good for Angel to get out of there & she enjoyed her visit with my pups. When I took Angel back to her home, I explained about pet grief & my cousin understood & did realize that Angel needed special attention at that time. It breaks my heart to see a pet go through the grieving process but even more so when no one notices it or even worse takes the pet to a shelter because they have no time . I could not imagine EVER taking my loved ones pet/pets to the shelter, no they would live the rest of their days being loved by me.
