Default Picky eater, sensitive stomach

Hi,
I fed mostly Canadian made foods. By law, their pet food has to up to the same standard as human food. You didn't say what flavor Acana you tried. They have some great sounding mixes. Who wouldn't want pork & pears for dinner? I also bought Petcurean "Go", Canidae, Oijens (made by same company as Acana, just higher in protein and more wild caught ingredients, pheasant, boar, bison, wild turkey. Angus would not eat the Grasslands flavor. Go has several different varieties for sensitive diet. Check with the pet store where you buy your dog food. I found that if my dog wouldn't eat it, they'd take the food back. It saved a lot of money while hunting for foods he would eat.

Royal Canin has a variety your vet has to write a prescription for you to buy it. My vet wasn't wild about RC because it has grains, fillers--ingredients that are common problems for dogs w/sensitive stomachs.

A great resource is The Dog Food Advisor website. This fellow does lots of research/label reading. He's not be holding to any pet food company. And he keeps an updated list of animal food/treat recalls...there are lots of them.

I forgot to ask, does your dog pass any mucus I her stool? That's a sign that there is stomach upset. Are you giving you pooch over the counter Pepcid? My vet suggested it. I gave my dog 1/2 of a 10mg tablet 2x a day. No extra strength, just plain low dose tablet. Check with your vet first.

If your pooch still has signs that something's wrong, I urge you to locate a well regarded Advanced Veterinary Internal Medicine vet. Yorkies are so small, sometimes they don't have much wiggle room before a little upset becomes a big problem. I wouldn't think you want to wait for full-blown pancreatitis.

Any Get references for any vet you seek out that you don't know. I had some experiences I'd rather not repeat. Do you know what they call the last in their class at vet school? They call them Doctor.

Good luck. I'll keep you and your pooch in my thoughts.

BUT.. sadly this food makes her itch the vet told me it is probably the chicken in the RC, So I researched, read reviews and I look here in the community and I decided to give my baby ACANA SINGLES, Im making the transition of RC giving now 25% RC 75% ACANA lamb apple flavor, and now she is miserable she won't eat it she looks at her plate and choose the RC and leave the ACANA I left the food out there and thought she will get hangry, and no... She is hangry but she wants her RC food,is really sad for me, seeing this. When she used to enjoy her meals so much... Please girls I need your advice...

Please can you recommend me and brand that your yorkies like??? With no chicken on it.? And that's recommended for puppy?
