Then he waits for me to make the most subtle movement to the door and he attacks me. He gets aggressive, barks, unties my shoelaces, tries to pull me back with his front paws and teeth. So, that treat idea fell apart. So now I give him a treat and take the basement door and he (so far has not caught on) sees it okay as if I am going to the basement to do a project or head outside in the yard for some yard work.
Yeah, I bet a lot of other Yorkie owners have the same "problem". I can sympathize with my Yorkie-he has no playmate and I can only imagine how lonely he gets without me there. I will get him a playmate soon.

My Yorkie "Mr Bean O" is 14 months old, weighs 15 pounds lucky for me does not bark in the car but he is afraid of a car ride too and presses right up against me for comfort.[/QUOTE]
Have you tried a booster seat? In a booster seat he will be able to see out of the window. A small price to pay for your pups comfort, may even loose his fear of cars. BTW my now passed girl was 17 lbs
Thanks for the input. I will probably try the booster seat. Also, my condolences to your passed girl at 17 lbs. I don't know how you or anyone else gets through a passing of our "dogs of joy" for want of better words. Hopefully mine has 15-20 years before he decides to go (which will probably be when I too will decide to go lol). I make each day the best I can with my Yorkie as my life now revolves around my yorkie (I bet that non believers and the shrinks out there would have a field day with us Yorkie owners lol)
