Your pets are cute. My Yorkie is in the process of losing a weight too. I now give him enough food that won't cause him to gain weight. He was born loving to eat. His matabolism slowed down, and I had to adjust. I love him, and I can't allow him to keep his bowling pin shape. I would feed them out of their own bowls. Dogs won't let themselves starve. I had to stop free feeding my Shih Tzu, because my Yorkie would move over and eat her food too.
