Poor boy. Check his gums. If they are pale or white, and sticky to the touch, he is dehydrated. If they are pink and at least a little wet, then he should be hydrated.
I would hold carrots or anything other than the chicken and rice.
Sounds like he could have pancreatitis. Did the vet do a cPL? That is usually the best way to diagnose pancreatitis.
If it is pancreatitis, I'm not sure if the treatment would be any different than what you are doing now, except severe cases are often recommended hospitalization.
Make sure you have a 24 hour emergency vet lined up just in case.
How old is your baby?
