I was at work today and a co-worker I sit next to was telling me about her friend that has a Yorkie that she is planning on giving away because she just doesn't want him anymore.

I truly got really upset to my co-worker it's just a dog it's not like its a human you no longer want. I told her I can't imagine giving my two up for anything. Her friend just gave up another dog and cat she also no longer wants. Apparently, her kids don't want to help take care of the animals. This makes me very sad. Those poor animals. I tried to explain that the dogs will be emotionally hurt as they come to love their owners and to just up and give them away is cruel without a really good reason.

I like my co-worker but I wish she never told me what her friend is doing. It put me in a really bad mood all day.
