Ya, we realized that he tends to pee on carpet or rugs. If he is out of our site, so at our old house we put our area rug in storage. Since the upstairs was all hardwood we blocked access to downstairs, and he would use his pee pads. At our new house the family room is carpet and there is no way to block it, so i dont know what to do. At night, we could leave the bedroom door open but block the hallway off so he can only go into the bathroom or the hall. The hall is hardwood. I would imagine he would use the pee pads if that was the case, but he might not wake us up and if the goal it to get him going outside it may be smarter to close the door so hopefully he barks to get out. Again, he may go on the carpet in our room... |
