When we are gone we lock him in a storage room. He has a crate in there with blankets and pee pads. He pees on the pee pads when he is in there. He usually doesnt poop but when he does he goes on the concrete. I just dont understand why he has stopped using the pee pads when he is out. At our old house he always used pee pads, but there also wasnt carpeting in the upstairs so maybe thats why. The two pee pads we have upstairs have been clean for about a month. How do we get him to realize we want him to pee on the pee pads? As far as pooping goes, he is pretty good, the overnight thing is the only problem so we are going to keep our door closed at night. If he needs to go to the bathroom hopefully he barks at the door and we can wake up and take him out. Hopefully he doesnt go on our bedroom carpet.
