I like Primal. I love that they do not use vitamin premixes:
Feeding, Transition and Safety for Raw Dog Food Diets
They have a frequent buyer program, if you buy it @ your local specialty feed/pet store.
Pros to
freeze dried:
1. Pups LOVE it.
2. Easy, convenient, great for travel, as it doesn't need to be refrigerated.
3. Handy to have a bag around..when I forget to thaw the frozen!
Cons:
1. It's a little more expensive than frozen.
2. There's fewer proteins available.
3. Takes about a min to prepare, to rehydrate in water. The pups can get VERY impatient & they will let you know. LOL
Pros to
frozen:
1. Pups LOVE it.
2. Costs a little less than freeze dried.
3. Comes in 1 oz nuggets or 8 oz patties.
4. Lots of diff proteins to choose from. Good if you rotate proteins.
Cons:
1. If I forget to thaw it (& it happens
), pups can go hungry. So I always have a bag of freeze dried.
2. Not good for travel since it needs to be frozen/ refrigerated. So always have a bag of freeze dried.
