Default Vet Bills

Hello,
I'm a new member, just finished reading your thread, and all the kind supportive, knowledgeable responses you had. I wanted to respond to your vet bill issue. I ran across a website With a list of resources to help with vet bills: grants, groups that offer assistance. I've listed some below: if you run a search "Help with veterinary bills" all kinds of information pops up. They also suggest a "GoFundMe" account. Let your friends and family know, they can donate to help you.

Please don't seriously consider putting your adorable pup down because of vet bills. Your vet might be able to work something out, at the very worst, there are Yorkie associations that might be able to place her/him with someone for whom vet bills are not a problem. Arrange an "open" adoption. Sounds terrible when I read this over, I apologize if I have hurt your feelings.

I would like to add my 5 cents worth towards the treatment of your pup. You might want to feed your pup smaller meals, 3 or 4x a day rather tha 2 larger ones. It's easier on the stomach. Duck has a high fat content, the fat might be a problem for her/him. It was for my little guy. I had to go to very low fat diet, less than 8%. I ordered a special diet from Just Food For Dogs. They're here in So California. They make their food using human grade ingredients as could be purchased from a grocery. They have a Remedy Diet that is 5% fat made with sweet potatoes and fish, no prescription required. It helped my Yorkie quite a lot. The other thing that helped him was to keep him hydrated when he wasn't drinking enough on his own. I gave him water with a syringe. He did much better, and he drank it easily.

Good luck with your dearest pup. I will keep the both of you in my thoughts.

Best,
Hi-EOI
