My vet recommends it. Hair holds onto moisture which can cause yeast or ear infection issues and it can making looking in their ears harder. My little allergy baby has floppy ears so I make sure to keep hers plucked but I do it myself. With my little boy puppy who has standing ears and sparse hair I have chosen to mostly leave him be. It's not suppose to hurt them.
