1/2 white vinegar 1/2 water. Its what our vet highly recommends for just cleaning at home. Epi otic was used at our clinic but they always suggested vinegar and water for cleaning at home because it works so well. However ear cleaning isnt necessary unless the ears are dirty. Its not recommended to clean them just because. As this can cause problems when there wasnt one to start with.
Im a groomer and for plucking - its only if the ears are packed with hair preventing air from getting in. Because a little hair doesnt hurt and again, plucking when not necesary can cause irritations. My yorkie is almost 10 years old and has never had to have his ears plucked or cleaned
he gets groomed regularly and i look in them all the time. But they have never needed it
