My Mom is a Property & Evidence Officer with a Police Dept. One of the Officers told her years ago to carry wasp spray when she walks her babies OR when she goes for a walk alone as it works much better & travels a greater distance then mace or pepper spray. With mace & pepper spray, you have to waite for the culprit to be on top of you before it works. We carry Wasp spray as well, never heard it was illegal to use. Hmmmm, Maybe I'll just have to carry my Pistol instead then.
