I am very sorry your sweet baby and you are going through this. Your feelings of being overwhelmed and helpless are completely understandable. I can relate to just wanting to hug your pup and make everything better.
A belly band sounds like it would be a good idea. It would need to be changed frequently to prevent skin problems and possibly urinary track infections.
