Lots of people feel your pain.... if you're using a phone to take photos and send in to here from there, select a smaller format.. I think a 640 x 480 VGA usually works unless there is lots of light and color... maybe these newer phones call that "medium" quality, IDK... I have an older phone.
if from a laptop/PC you'll need to shrink the file... I think it was this thread that I stated how I did that using a batch shrink... might be another thread.. try a couple things... then ask a few more questions, we'll try to help.
