I've fed both Acana and Orijen! For some reason Scottie started turning his nose away from Acana after a while, which is why I switched to Orijen - he likes his high protein!
For snacks, Orijen also has these freeze-dried patty meals that I used as treats. I figured that because it's kind of expensive to feed as meal on a daily basis, but freeze-dried meals are actually good for dogs and tastier than kibble, it made for a really good treat! Whenever they got sick, I used these freeze-dried patties mixed with oatmeal so that it was easier on their stomach during recovery.
I also fed the dehydrated lamb lungs (by Merricks) as treats

		 | Thank you. Okay - i really gotta get some dehydrated lamb lungs lol Is it okay for puppies? I was thinking 'carrots' but that would make me really boring after a while..
I am super glad you mentioned the frozen stuff. I never heard of it before but Orijen has the treats called frozen red and other flavs. I don't even know what it means "frozen", like you get it frozen? Or you freeze it? |
