Will do a bette update later but in a hurry right now.

Having a rough night. Sophie is doing well and eating and acting like herself but followed up with her vet today and they couldn't get a consistent reading (jumped around like crazy at one point was 171 and another was 290 but then right after that was 175). Vet said little dogs need a Doppler because the little cuff doesn't always fit the under 6lbs babies so they can't treat the blood pressure without an accurate reading.

Said with her vitals and blood work being normal they don't think we need to rush anything and to follow up again next week and see if they can get a better reading. But if they can't, she has to go to a cardiologist and that's where we can't afford anymore and then I don't know what happens. I've failed her if that's the case.

I asked about urine and they said that they can just do the stick if I want and then if it shows protein they would send it in for the full urinalysis. They didn't do it tonight because they were already closed by the time we were in there with them. She did say based on her history that they aren't thinking of PLN but they could test to at least rule it out.

We haven't given her kibble yet and have kept her on the wet food for now. Figured we want her tummy to rest for right now and she seems to be handling it well.

I don't want to lose her
