VPI basically claims that they pay more out to you if you go in for an emergency. If you get a plan called Superior you get a limitations on coverage and a choice of what you want done. For example. You choose between a nueter, microchip or teeth pull. ONLY ONE A YEAR! and they only cover in my state supposedly $65 of one of those options. I hear it's best to try to do all 3 at one time to save pup a lot of pain... imagine how much that'd cost, plus the pain the little guy would go through if waited to do all 3 once for the next 3 years...
