What I see happening, where things tend to get nasty, is usually where someone is asking about breeding, a pregnant dog, or an injured/sick animal and they can't afford to go the vet or are not sure if they should.

I have three dogs. And with each dog I have learned a lot. My first dog came from a pet store, and has very little social skills and horrible allergies. Second dog came from a BYB, she is socialized but not nearly as much as my new baby who I got from a good breeder. With each dog, I have learned more and more.

There are a LOT of people who truly love their babies, but are learning. Just like we all have. If we want to educate people, it needs to be done in a caring manner. Not condescending. Offer up your experience, but know that sometimes people are not going to "get" it.

Hope you all have a splendiferous day
Wonderfully said ! I have learned SO dang much in my 12 years as a yorkie-Mum, and I am still learning, and will always keep on learning. Thanks for your splendiferous post !

"No, friendship is not about supporting your friends, even when you know they are wrong.

That's not friendship, that's being an enabler, being an accomplice.

Friendship is loving someone enough to tell them to stop being an idiot before they ruin their lives."

Now, of course we are not all close friends on YT, but we have a mutual love...that of our precious furkids. You can apply the above saying to this discussion...and always remember that, in the end, it is a living being we are trying to help....one that does not have a voice.
At the end of the day, that's exactly it right there, above! Part of the reason we're all here, hopefully, is to help and support and reach each other as human beings...so that we can help other human beings help their furkids in the best possible way.
