I've given depositions, yeah, it's a little unnerving. Just tell the truth and stick to your guns. Think of it this way....your attorney has one interpetation of the facts and his another. Sometimes they try to skew the questions to their favor. That's fine...they can word it however they want...argue with you even...(not to scare you there)....they don't yell if that helps....any way...just keep repeating the same information if you need to elobrate give them an explaination if necessary.
I'll give you an example....a friend (term used loosely) was battling his wife over a divorce and support issues. He was trying to prove that she ran around. Now this guy had my husband deposed because hubby had kissed her. I do not mean some passionate kiss...a peck...hubby said that guy's attorney kept hammering and hammering that kiss issue and telephone calls between the two. Now the telephone calls were because hubby was building her kitchen cabinets, he has to talk to her, it wasn't sweet nothings they were discussing. Any way hubby was infatatic...look I kiss many of my friends and the phone calls....I was building her cabinets for dang sake. Btw, hubby called the friend after receiving the notice....the guy's explaination...oh, I don't think anything went on, I just don't want to give her 1/2 my stuff
You'll be fine. Try to ignore the butterflies, sweetie
