Thank goodness you checked out that dosage! Good job there!! I actually had that happen once...they had given one of my foster pups ten times the dosage allowed of a pretty heavy duty medication for collapsed trachea. It was a error with a decimal. Thankfully I caught it....the next morning I called and the vet, who was a specialist, pretty much told me I didn't know what I was talking about. I hung up on her and went straight to my vet and showed her the bottle...she was shocked. I told her to call her friend (the specialist) and let her know I was right. They then said to come back and they would replace it. I never went back to that place. I now go to a wonderful specialty hospital in Houston when I need a specialist.
Anyone can make a mistake and it is up to us, the consumers, to double check all meds for ourselves and our pups! I would not have had a problem with that place IF they had simply treated me with respect and listened...but to just act like I was crazy? Don't think so.
