It just might be the case, if a dog loves vegetation then they just may have been blessed by the cow fairy lol My girl loves carrots, lettuce, broccoli, and them steam mixed veggies, I'd sprinkle just little herbal seasoning that's doggie safe. Water chestnuts, even. The only time I've seen her kind of snub a veggie is if she's not in the mood for it.
Now she's more picky about fruit, cant' be too tart and just sweet enough and I find that texture is a big thing for her, as well as flavor (she will not eat a blackberry as is). I found out the hard way when I was one time making a batch of my fresh mix berry yogurt pops and didn't strain the fruit puree. I didn't think to strain it since I only used blueberry and strawberry that time, but it left the popsicle gritty in texture (though tasted good). Neither me nor her cared for the texture at all, so had to toss out the batch X.x
The first one I made I did strain (had used strawberry, blueberry and blackberry) yogurt to make frozen pops. When I first made them I pureed and strained the berry mix into a no/low fat & no sugar yogurt and added a touch of honey to sweeten. I had strain it at the time because I knew blackberries were very seedy and didn't want her getting them stuck in her teeth, etc. She loved it, but unfortunately the next few attempt to create different variations didn't work until I went back to doing it like the first, lol. One was an apple juice pop (I had juiced different apples including Granny Smith for added tart), the apple flavor was too strong for her until I had to suck out the apply juice some and leave it a tad more icy with light apple taste and she loved it that way (might try adding water to it next time). Then as mentioned, not straining the berries, she really didn't like that. This latest batch was strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries. So yea, I made sure to strain them this time ^^;; She loved it again lol Straining the berry puree is more tedious, but the result is my girl loving it ^^
Her favorite lately is the steamed veggies, sometimes even more so when lightly seasoned with herbs or if I want to get her to eat her dry food. She loves steamed green beans and it makes her dry food more appetizing as she'll eat it without us hand feeding it to her lol
