I live out of city limits and they dont even check or care. All of my dogs have had it however.
You can get a titer(blood) test to see if your dogs need it or not. I dont know all the details. But you could ask your vet. We had a regular client all the years i worked at the vet, that had the titer test done each year .
However if your dog bites someone and doesnt have proof of rabies shot then they cam require your dog to be quarantined. We had to do that at the vet clinic a couple times as well. |
The titer doesn't qualify and they could still take your dog and that would be really stressful on your dog plus why play with rabies there is no cure.
