Vets almost always recommend rabies. I ended up doing it when Scottie was 2 yrs because we sometimes cross the Canada/USA border and it's a requirement. Otherwise, I dont think I would. Vet said same thing, that booster rabies lasts for 3 years. Scottie did get really sick after, but I'm not sure if it was the shot that caused it
