It may take a while longer to find a breeder. I know what you mean. A breeder that won't take time with you AND not answer all your questions at the best of their knowledge, run away from them.
In my opinion 2,000 is way too much unless the pups are show quality.
Please keep searching and their are lots of YT members with lots of knowledge that will help you.
