My husband I both work as well, and our son is going into tenth grade. Our babies are home from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (Mon. Tues. Thurs. and Fri.) by themselves (my husband goes home for lunch every day and checks on them). We do not have your problem though. Maybe because there are two they play together during the day. They play when I get home until we go to bed at 10:30 or 11:00. We are a little worried, because our baby (Perseus) has had my son home with him all summer. We're not sure how he'll adjust to him going to school. I guess we'll find out, because my son starts school August 3. My son was gone to band camp for a week, but my husband was on vacation. Crossing my fingers for next week!!! I have no suggestion for you since you run him ragged. The water suggestion might work, but I certainly understand the heat. We live in swampy Mississippi, so I wouldn't want to take water from my boys either. Best wishes to you -- I hope you find a solution.
