Pat is right. That is how I lost a puppy last week..The vet would not listen when I told him the placenta had separated and fooled around too long....So if you see lots of bright red bleeding or meconium (that dark greenish-black stuff that indicates a puppy is in distress) head out to the vet....
But, ya gotta keep us posted..Usually we worry for nothing..
