I used the Xanax for a year following the anxiety cause by her hawk attack. The medication along with patience and loving worked well. Took a out a year, but it was very worth all the effort. I was able to get the liquid Xanax because the dose was so small I could not cut the tablet up small enough. The pharmacy had to order it for me. Was expensive but I would have paid anything to see her anxiety relieved.
Starting agility was also a good thing. Gave her lots of confidence and something else to put her mind on. |

I didn't realize that Callie had anxiety issues post attack (I mean, who wouldn't?!?) Lilah had an attack (not as traumatic as your guys) two years ago now and I swear this summer she finally seems to be calming down and coming back around. This is an excellent and appropriate suggestion- especially after our vets answer was, "yeah, sometimes that happens" when I came to her to talk about Lilahs post trauma anxiety.
