 Coyotes on the prowl
So had an unnerving experience today. We live out in the country - lots of farm land, horses, cattle, etc as well as deer, raccoons, 'possums, etc. So there is a handy food source for predators - lots of coyotes and hearing them at night is kinda spooky.
This afternoon walking to the mail box I saw one trotting along just inside the fence line across the street. It was like he following the road, but just inside the fence line. He/she stopped, looked at me, and continued trotting along like he owned the place! Me, being me, took off down the road just to see if I could spot him again, but no go. Snapped a pic when I first saw him, but I was too far away and you can't see him.
This coyote was HUGE! and he looked very healthy and well fed -- like a gianormous light colored, lean and muscular german shepherd.
Please be extra careful with your babies and keep them safe from predators. |
