Don't feel bad, there is really no way to avoid bees, wasps, and hornets. I stepped on a hornet on my driveway while barefoot recently. In fact, I was saying goodbye to my visiting sister-in-law, we were hugging, and I didn't want to scream in her ear.
I hope your sweet baby feels fine when she wakes up.
