totally understand. I just suck it up. I prefer going outside than for them to poop at home. It was a decision I made in the very beginning and I stuck with it. We get a lot of rain in Vancouver - basically for the entire fall/winter season, which is 5-6 months.
I don't think I've had to go out during thunder and lightning though, so far. Luckily!
We do the same, I have umbrella for myself and they have raincoats. My fiance is sweeter than me, he covers them with the umbrella and he wears the raincoat
From what I've seen while I was shopping around, this Canadian Pooch raincoat is the best! It's made with really nice waterproof material - it feels soft and makes me wish they made one for humans too! It's helpful with the hood too, to cover their head!
