My question is, my baby Sophia just made one years on on June 12 and she is indeed a silk because she shines like a diamond when outside. I want to know with the help of my grooming does she have the possibility of being a long haired silk yorkie, because i think they are so gorgeous. I have now switched her over to pure balance dog food since she became a year of age recently she was on pedigree puppy.. Thanks for all the advice I will get.

Note: She has had cuts before , but now I want to let it grow.

Like so many other things, coat types are genetic. Most dogs to have a floor length coat need some help. Many show breeders need to wrap the coat. Obviously good nutrition, and exercise also helps, followed by grooming and bathing
