This is normal behavior. I had a 3 yo and bought home a new baby, my 3 yo headed for high grounds, the sofa lol where she stayed for weeks, the baby was hyper and playful. It took almost 2 months before the 3 yo would interact with baby jaws. 3 years later my now 6 and 3 yo I bought home baby # 3, now I had two scared girls on high grounds, yep, the sofa. Again it took a couple of months for the 2 older girls to interact with the new kid. Give it time, Monty needs to adjust to wild child. When they do play keep them under close supervising, if the puppy gets to rough correct her to play calmer. Before you know it you will have two zooming babies racing through the house lol.
