Hey all--- it's been awhile since I've posted on here...
I took Fiona to the vet on June 20th as I noticed that she lost a lot of weight - I didn't see any abnormal signs or symptoms , just figured she was slowing down .. Blood work showed that her kidney functions were a bit elevated and then found out she was testing positive for lymes . She was put on doxycycline , clavamox and then I had to give her sub q fluids at home . She was making so many great improvements ... Well this past weekend I could tell she wasn't feeling too good - the vet and I were in contact via email a lot .
Today I left work to get her some appetite stimulant meds because she didn't want to eat / well when I came home she had passed ..:
I am beside myself and cannot believe this is happening .:::
