The size of a breeding operation to be profitable whilst aa valid question is not what is first, and foremost in good breeders minds. Doing it right usually means you would be lucky to break even. One C section alone could cost two thousand. Yorkies don't usually have large litters.
Dog breeding of any breed is not a profit making business. In fact we don't look at it as a business at all. But do it for our love and passion for the breed
