TEACUP, is a ploy word for bad breeders that breed for the smaller dog and charge big bucks, what you usually end up getting is a sick dog down the road with generic issues. Your baby falls right in line with the STANDARD size of yorkies weight. My rescue boy weighs in at 12 lbs, to me he is TINY compared to my 17 years of living with my now passed 17 lb girl. Ignore the uneducated ones, I do. Due to bad breading yorkies come in all sizes, if anyone wants a STANDARD size yorkie that will have few to no generic diseases they must search for the breeder that breeds to BETTER the BREED.
Thank you so much, I had been saying she was the low end of standard but lost conviction! Now I'm intrigued about how big some yorkies grow ...... love the idea your 12lb boy is tiny!!
