my Bailey... he is a shin tuz ... had this about three years past. It was very scary and we thought we were going to have to have surgery. We did take him to a neurologist for evaluation.. we did not do the MRI because he showed improvement with the steroids and pain killers. He has had one flare up.. but minor.
I did have to restrict his activity. He was not allowed to use our stairs... jump off the bed or couch. I did not walk him for several weeks... had him on crate (big play pen) when we were not at home. I had to sleep down stairs with him for a few weeks. He is fine now
