I would definitely stop taping that ear and give it a chance to heal. Personally, I don't believe in ear taping--I let nature take its course. Our Bella's ears started down, and then during her teething phase, they would go up or down from day to day, and then after she was done teething they stayed up. We never taped her ears, and I haven't read anything other than anecdotal information about whether ear taping is effective. No controlled studies have been done.
