Ya know what else is interesting/sad to note: here Caitlyn resented Jon Snow and Ned all those years, thinking Ned had cheated on her and that Jon was the result. When all along, Ned had lied just to protect Jon and to honor Lyanna. |
I agree, very sad that Ned didn't confide in Caitlyn. The only explanation that I can see is that Ned knew that Jon's life would be in grave danger if anyone had the slightest suspicion about Jon's true lineage.
If Caitlyn didn't resent Jon, if she had been kinder to him, that would have raised a lot of suspicion.
