She coughs for about 2-3 times. When she is excited or playing she never coughs, it's ONlY after drinking. I pressed lightly on her trechea to see if I could get her to cough and nothing happened. No runny nose or anything like that. I had her vet checked before I bred her and she checked fine. I never noticed this before. I am going to take her to my vet to have her trechea checked but was wondering if anyone else had something like this and it wasn't a collapsed trechea? I am so scared because I know it "can" be hereditary and I am a worry wart about my babies. I never noticed this before or I wouldn't have bred her until I had answers. Could it be thats she is just drinking to fast? thanks for any thought or ideas!!

Since she doesn't do this when drinking from a water bottle I would like to suggest you get one of those water dishes that are elevated some to about chest high. This way they are not drinking nose down and breathing in at the same time getting water going into the wrong slots!
