I am actually a dog groomer. The above suggestions are great!

As owners of Yorkie's, we all know that they have a very strong stubborn personality. This can make grooming them a bit difficult. The best advice I can give you is to try to go slow. Stay relaxed. Your pup isn't going to like it at first, just keep going and keep rewarding. It'll take time.

In regards to grooming, maybe ask the groomer to take the belly shorter. That won't be very obvious, and will create less for you to brush out while you are trying to get your pup more comfortable with the home brushing.

As far as his feet go, just cuddle him and hold him at night while massaging each of his paws. That will really eventually help.
