I occasionally use Vet Solution ear cleaner with a drying agent. Teddy is prone to getting water in his ears in the bath, so I use it sometimes on him, dribbling a little into the canal with a qtip. Don't put the qtip in the ear canal for many reasons, including risking pushing hair deeper into the ear in a bunch.

I do not pour the solution in the ear as some cleaners recommend. That makes me nervous. I would only do that if the vet advised it for an ear problem. Healthy ears do not require it, in my opinion.

To keep Hudson's ears from becoming clogged with hair, you can use a flea comb and it will remove loose hairs. You can follow up with your fingers. I don't use a "ripping" motion. I slowly pull and the loose hairs come out gently on my boys.
