I think its a good idea that you switched him off kibbles and bits. Its not a healthy food. Although i have hear of alot of trouble amd recalls with blue.
Maybe you can mix some healthy human foods with it to convince him?
Favorties of my extremely picky dog are chicken(boiled or baked) baked potatoes and carrots. Raw egg yolks.
Sometimes scrambled eggs. People foods arent horrible as long as they are the right kind.
I dont want to encourage all sorts of changing up dog foods... But with my jack russell i had to no choice. He goes on strikes and stops eating foods after he has been eating them for a while. He will go a couple days... Get sick, bloody stool from upset stomach and i have no choice but to start something new
Despite what some people say all dogs wont just eat once they get hungry enough. Certain dogs will go soo long that you have no choice but to start offering different things and find something they like.
I usually keep a couple cans of high quality canned dog food on hand too.
Eddie also likes those natural balance dog food rolls.
My dogs are eating earthborn holistics great plains right now. And eddie (the picky one) seems to love it for now

Hope you find something that works!
