Is this a yorkie we are talking about? I ask because it is not uncommon occurance in Chihuahuas....not something we want or like to find in yorkies....how large is the soft spot?...If it is small, there is a possibility that it could still close...the skull has not quit growing and suture lines meeting and sealing....if it has not closed by 8 months, chances are it wont, but bones are still growing and maturing until then. Just like on a human baby, just dont go thumping around on the soft spot.....hopefully, at this age it should be just about half the size of a dime or so....dont write it off, it may still close...bones stop growing at about 8 months old....
