If crate training isn't an option for your dog, then I'd instead use an Iris Pen (this is what we used) from Amazon or Walmart. It keeps the dog confined and safe, but there is at least room to move around. |
I tried her in a pet carrier like you would use for a plane ride. That just threw her into a frenzy. So, I went to PetSmart and got the open wire crate hoping that would be okay with her. Put her in it this morning and she whined and barked for 45 minutes. Finally settled down so I waited 10 minutes to get her out. Problem, she had peed and pooped in the crate. I'm still working on her feeding schedule since she had been grazing all day. Just started that yesterday. We'll eventually get this worked out and both of us will be much happier.
